Privacy and Cookie Policy

INTRODUCTION:

The privacy policy of avicenna.com.pl is addressed to our users. It presents the range of your personal data that we collect and the mechanisms that ensure your privacy (as regulated by law). The privacy policy also constitutes the fulfilment of the information obligation towards our users.

    Your personal data are collected automatically by the server or provided voluntarily when you fill in contact forms or order forms.
  3. How we use the data
    We use your personal data for the purposes of administering the system, keeping statistics of the number of visits to the website, managing the website’s contents, keeping in touch with you and receiving orders from our registered users, signing contracts, settling accounts, delivering ordered products, and allowing you to make use of what you are legally entitled to (order cancellation, warranty).
    Your data are not disclosed to any third parties unless said parties have the legal right to demand access to such information.

    In accordance with art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27th April 2016 (Official Journal of the European Union, L 119, 04th May 2016) I hereby state that

    c) your personal data will only be disclosed to the parties participating in rendering the services as well as to third parties that are legally entitled to such data;
    d) your personal data will be stored for a period determined by tax regulations in case of orders or otherwise for a period determined by a justified need of our enterprise to contact you;
    e) you have the right to ask the administrator for an access to your personal data as well as the right to correct, delete or limit the extent to which said data are processed;
    f) you have the right to make a complaint to a supervisory authority;
    g) filling in your personal data is voluntary, but a refusal to do so may result in the company’s refusal to render its services;

  1. Cookie policy
    a) Cookies constitute information data, especially text documents, which are stored on your end device and are designed for using the website. Cookies usually include the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.
    b) Avicenna-Oil is the party that places the cookie files on your end device and acquires access to them.
    c) The cookies are not used to acquire information about you or to track your activity. The cookies used by our website do not store any personal data or other information gathered from you and are used for the purposes of statistics only.
    d) The default software used for browsing websites (a browser) allows turning cookies on or off on your device. In most cases the software has to be configured by you and the automatic blocking of cookies has to be switched on. All the issues related to configuring the way cookies are treated can be found in the browser’s settings. One should be aware that limiting cookies may affect some functionalities of the website.
    e) Cookies are used to adjust the contents of the website according to your preferences and to optimize the use of the website; in particular they make it possible to identify your device and appropriately display the website in accordance with your individual needs; keep statistics that make it possible to understand how you use the website, which allows the administrator to improve on the website’s structure and contents; keep your session open (after logging in) so that you do not need to fill in the login and password on each of the website’s subsites.

    The description of technical and organizational protective measures is included in our security policy (personal data security). The following protective tools are used in particular:
    a) The data collected automatically by the server are protected by the mechanism of authenticated access to the website.
    b) The data collected from you on registration are protected by an SSL protocol and by the mechanism of authenticated access to the website.
    c) The access to the website’s administrative tools requires authentication.
    d) We change the access passwords on a regular basis.
    e) We make sure the software on the website is updated on a regular basis.
    f) We make back-up copies of the data on the website on a regular basis.

    Should any changes be made to the privacy policy, adequate adjustments will be made to the contents of this privacy policy.
